If I were to choose a favourite, it would be ‘Whitewash’ from the abum ‘Colma’. Every time I see him play it live I kind of shed a tear a little bit. Every time I listen to it, it’s like I’m listening to it for the first time again. ‘Jowls’ because of the snippets of Texas Chainsaw Massacre on it. Right now, Hornet is what I’ve been listening to and I adore it.

This is the song that made me a full time fan. My favourite song would be ‘Nottingham lace’ from ‘Enter the chicken’ album. Something about it draws me in over and over again. That songs grabs me and makes me wanna move. But my current favourite is ‘Ridge Roll’. My all-time favourite is ‘welcome to bucketheadland’ obviously. Like, every time I hear it, it gives me a lot of energy. That song just makes me wanna get up and go. My favourite buckethead song is ‘The Closed Triptych’ from Pike 39. So ‘day of the robot’ must have been the first one that came out solo when I started collecting and was a fan. All first 3 Praxis albums were already out. My first Halloween as Buckethead, I have a picture from 1995. It must have been about 1994, my brother was in college and he brought home praxis ‘transmutation’ album. That day before I left for school I downloaded a big compilation, soothsayer started to play. I discovered buckethead when I was very young. And from there I just met a bunch of people and have been learning about him for a long time. And I cae across this related search with Buckethead’s ‘Night of the Slunk’įrom ‘That 1 guy’ stream on facebook. I was a t school during study hall and I was on youtube looking up guitar videos. She probably showed me a video on youtube of ‘Welcome to Bucketheadland’ and I was terrified and blown away at the same time.įirst time I ever heard of Buckethead, was January of 2018. I first heard of Bucethead probably 20 years ago. And I’ll never forget the confetti coming down. It was crazy because it was a time when we were all glued to our TV’s, no one used social media as much back then. Everyone was freaking out whilst it was happening.

I saw Guns N Roses on TV when they reunited, they played ‘welcome to the jungle’ live on national TV, which was like bucketheads debut in the limelight. It lead me to listen to ‘final wars’ ‘jump man’ ‘callbox’ and it spiraled from there. For me it was because of guitar hero 2, playing Jordan. So I checked him out that night on youtube and I’ve listened to him ever since. A friend of mine asked me if I had ever heard of him. The first time I ever heard of Buckethead was in 2017. In 1998 my brother had a cassette tape with Praxis ‘Metatron’ on side A and El Stew ‘no hesitation’ on side B. But I had no idea he had a solo music career going on. I thought the name was unusual and thought he was a studio session player. Found out who the guitarist was on one of my favourite tracks called ‘goro vs art’. I went to my local record shop afterwards and bought the cd. I was a gamer growing up, so I had to see the movie. My first exposure to Buckethead was in 1995. I think it was a picture from D12, where they did a parody of guns n roses. I asked my dad who it was and he said “oh that’s buckethead” and I don’t think it was. And there was a picture with the rapper ‘Bizarre’ and some other rappers hanging out with someone wearing a blank white mask and beanie. I heard about Buckethead being in Primus but didn’t see him until much later when I owned an Eminem biography book. A lot of my musical tastes come from my father, music he’s listened to and I’ve grown up hearing. So I first heard of Buckethead because of Primus. Then my friend showed me the interview he did called ‘destroy all monsters’ from 1996, by guitar player magazine. A couple of days later I heard his music coming from another room, and it was mesmerizing. When I heard about Buckethead in 2005, I was introduced to him on a youube video. For some reason I never bothered to look up more about him back then. My nephew played it one day and he was an expert at it.

I had heard the name but I was very unaware of who he was and what he did. I first heard of buckethead on guitar hero, back when I was crazy about rock music and video games. How or when, did you first hear of Buckethead? Good evening everybody, in this very special 2 part episode, we ask some of the most loyal and dedicated fans to share their thoughts, favourites, opinions and more, on guitar hero Buckethead.
